Honoring the Earthquake Victims - April 2011
The Angel of the Stars, a new sculpture in Haiti's National Cemetery, was commissioned by the municipality of Port-au-Prince as a lasting memorial for the victims of the 2010 earthquake. USAID helped fund the remembrance.

Haiti: Solar-Powered LEDs
OTI, in partnership with the Organisation des Femmes de Charette, installed solar lamps at several key intersections on the Bas Charette road in St. Marc to improve security and make the city more attractive to small businesses as well as to earthquake-displaced citizens.

Standing Up with the Haitian Government - May 2010
USAID has assisted the Government of Haiti get back to work by quickly preparing the former U.S. Embassy and USAID Mission buildings for occupancy by the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Planning. The facilities are helping the Haitian Government take the lead on the response to the earthquake.

Haiti: New Community Marketplace
Since cholera broke out in October, the Government of Haiti has been making a sustained effort to inform citizens on how to prevent and treat the disease. OTI has worked with Haitian authorities to spread the word, supporting "News You Can Use" broadcasts and training efforts that give workers prevention information that they can share with others.
