Locations

 The Alexandria VA Health Care System has Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Lafayette, Louisiana serving Lafayette Parish and other surrounding parishes and in Jennings, Louisiana serving Jefferson Davis Parish and other surrounding parishes. The Natchitoches Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Natchitoches, Louisiana is scheduled to open October 1, 2010 serving surrounding parishes. In addition to our main medical center in Alexandria, we offer a number of services to our patients in four community-based outpatient clinics.

Waiting Areas

For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.

Security

The Alexandria VA Health Care System has a Police Service. Our officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial 2771. In case of an emergency, dial 2418. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.

Because The Alexandria VA Health Care System is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found is located in building 5, room 112 on the 1st floor. You may also contact them at extension 2762.

Chapel

A nondenominational chapel is located in building 46 on the campus. Protestant Worship Services and Catholic The Chaplain Service, reporting to the Chief of Staff, offers pastoral care and counseling to all patients, their families, and the hospital staff. Worship services are held on Sunday and during the week. Chaplains lead several groups throughout the Medical Center, including a spiritual awareness group, a self-esteem group and are active members of several interdisciplinary teams. Through the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program, CPE students have an opportunity to increase their skills in ministry, especially in the area of pastoral care and counseling.
