WELCOME TO ANSBACH MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL
Ansbach American Middle/High School (AMHS)is a Department of Defense Dependents School(DODDS), which is part of the Department of Defense Educational Activity (DoDEA). It is a public school serving the children of American Army units. Our chool is certified by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The DoDEA system makes it possible for students to transfer back to a stateside school and continue their education in elementary, middle, high school, vocational school or college.
Ansbach High School is located 25 miles southwest of Nurnberg
in Northern Bavaria. A DoDDS school year consists of two semesters,
each of which is eighteen weeks in length. Our school community consists of
military families from the greater Ansbach community, and a feeder base,
Illesheim, which is about 35 minutes away. The principal of Ansbach American
High School is Mr. David Carlisle. We have a middle school and a high school
guidance counselor, a school psychologist, and an ASACS counselor who
provide individual and group counseling.

Vision
Ansbach Middle High School is committed to ensuring that all students will be
able to function independently in an increasingly global and diverse world.
Goal 1: By 2013, all students will increase their problem solving skills (thinking sequentially and logically acrross the curriculum as measured by the TerraNova Multiple Assessments 3rd Edition, PSAT, and a local problem solving assessment.
Goal 2: By 2013, all students will increase their writing proficiency in all content areas through a focus on editing skill asmeasured by the TerraNova Multiple Assessments 3rd Edition, PSAT, and a local writing assessment . |
