U.S. Government Hosts Health Forum with Minister of Health and Partners

The U.S. Government through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), led by Mission Director Flynn Fuller, will host a forum on December 7 at the Stung Sang Ke Hotel in Battambang Province with the Ministry of Health (MOH) led by H.E. Prof. Mam Bun Heng.  The purpose of the forum will be to learn and exchange ideas with the MOH and its Provincial Health Department counterparts related to the health activities currently being funded by USAID.

USAID implementing partners will be invited to address the audience of key MOH officials and provide an updates on activities and innovative strategies in use, to address some of the key challenges being faced today in the Cambodian health sector.   The discussion will also seek to identify and strengthen existing mechanisms for continuing coordination between USAID partners and MOH counterparts.  

The American people, through USAID, have provided economic and humanitarian assistance worldwide for nearly 50 years.

The forum will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at 8:00 a.m. at the Stung SangKe Hotel in Battambang Province.  Members of the press are invited to attend the forum.
