USAID/Indonesia health programs are addressing critical gaps in the healthcare system by improving quality of and demand for services; building local capacity; and improving healthcare policies, planning, and governance.

USAID's health program in Indonesia aims to:

  • Support HIV/AIDS prevention;
  • Reduce high rates of maternal deaths and reverse stagnating improvements in child health;
  • Accelerate the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis; and
  • Expand access to safe water and sanitation services.
