Visas
Welcome to the Visa Unit’s Homepage!
The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tunis is responsible for providing visa services to those seeking to enter the United States for a temporary period and for those wishing to take up indefinite or permanent residence in the United States.
In this section you will find helpful information on how to apply for the appropriate visa based on the purpose of your travel to the United States.
For specific information on visas for temporary visitors, please consult the Nonimmigrant Visa section. Those who plan to travel to the United States to establish permanent residency, please consult the information in the Immigrant Visa section of this website.
Visa Processing Fees
The Department is required to recover, as far as possible, the cost of processing visas through the collection of application fees. The fees support the addition and expansion of overseas facilities, as well as additional staffing required to meet increased visa demand.
