Business/Economic Development Recognition/Awards

It is an honor to represent the people of Idaho. It is my goal to do so in a manner that reflects the values and traditions of Idahoans. During the course of my public service, I have been fortunate to be recognized by many tremendous organizations. Many of these awards are based on my voting record, and my efforts to serve the people of Idaho.

Presented to Members of Congress who are champions of small business and stand strong on key small business votes.  The award reflects support for the pro-growth agenda for small business.

Awarded 2010, 2008, 2006, 2004, 1998, 1996 and 1994 by the National Association of Wholesale Grocers- International Food Service Distributors Association (NAWG-IFDA)

For commitment to free enterprise through votes on issues such as taxes, free trade, labor policy and other economic matters.  Recipients supported the IFDA's position on at least 70 percent of votes deemed critical to the Jeffersonian ideals of free enterprise and the foodservice distribution industry.

For supporting investor interests on important shareholder and economic issues.

 

NADO Congressional Partnership Award


Awarded in 109th Congress (2005-2006) by the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) ; nominated by the Southeast Idaho Council of Governments (SEICOG)

Presented for support of federal legislation advocating regional solutions to local programs.

 

Guardian of Worker Freedom

Awarded in 2006 and 2005 by the Alliance for Worker Freedom, a conservative labor reform group.

Presented to members of Congress who vote 80% or higher in support of labor issues tracked by AWF.  Award is in recognition of support for freedom and opportunity in the workplace, and included votes on minimum wage increases, private sector "competitive sourcing" of government employees, CAFTA, OSHA reform and pro-labor market immigration reform.

Presented for assistance in a project that encouraged businesses to becom einvolved in the political process.  Senator Crapo also achieved a 100% Award during the 1st session of the 106th Congress (1999).
