Ask yourself this, how many criminal prosecutions have there been using patriot act info? My guess is only a few would have been able to past a constitutional test.

I enjoy watching a NON ELECTED gov hack.completely shut down and deny requests for legal clarification and case precedence, an ELECTED CONGRESSMAN. I was unaware how much power the appointed have, and the extent the elected have not.

So we elect officials. Re-elect them. Believe they have passed laws A, B, and C.
Then it actually turns out that the laws being enforced are effectively a different set of laws. So what is the point of voting?

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

My only problem with the Patriot act is that its not only a past bill that no one read before passing but it also violates peoples 4th and 5th amendment rights. That needs to change. Good job on the questioning.
