New England

Presented is a one-dimensional (1D) Earth resistivity model, NE-1, straddling the Seaboard Lowland and the New England Upland sections of the New England physiographic province. The model is based on a literature compilation undertaken for the southwest part of Maine, just north of Portland, and was based partly on near-surface geophysical survey work done at Oxford, 60 km north of Portland. (Fernberg et al. 2013, in prep.)

1D Resistivity Model for New England Province (Maine) Model NE-1

Resistivity vlaues and depths have been interpreted from published geological reports and maps, and my differ from actual conditions measured by a geophysical survey and/or borehole
