YEREVAN - World Vision, USAID and the Yerevan State University marked the successful completion of the second online distance learning course for social workers. Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Artem Asatryan, USAID Armenia Mission Director Karen Hilliard, World Vision (WV) Armenia National Director Graham Strong, and YSU Rector Aram Simonyan attended the ceremony and delivered remarks.

YEREVAN – On January 24, the USAID Enterprise Development and Market Competitiveness Project signed a grant agreement with non-governmental organization Armenian Monuments Awareness Project to implement the Black Sea Silk Road Corridor project. The 2-year initiative will foster cross-border cooperation and economic development in 100 communities across four countries of the Black Sea Basin – Armenia, Georgia, Greece and Turkey.

YEREVAN - The Association of Technology Startups of Armenia and the USAID Enterprise Development and Market Competitiveness Project announced the winners of the Armenian Technology Startups (ATS) 2012 awards on December 26. The award ceremony was attended by Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan, and representatives of USAID and other organizations.

YEREVAN - On October 24, the USAID Enterprise Development and Market Competitiveness Project held a presentation entitled “New Opportunities for Financing Small Businesses.” The event brought together partner financial institutions and representatives of the Armenian government and the international community to discuss a number of issues related to new opportunities for small and medium enterprises to obtain innovative credit products in near term future.
