Lieutenant Colonel Rod L. Boles is the commander of 12th Battalion, United States Military Entrance Processing Command and the Baltimore Military Entrance Processing Station.

Lieutenant Colonel Boles earned a Regular Army commission through the ROTC program at the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, where he graduated as distinguished military graduate and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Adjutant General's Corps. His first duty assignment was Wurzburg, Germany, where he served with 1st Infantry Division as the chief of division officer management. He was next assigned to Heidelberg, Germany, where he served with V Corps as the commanding general's scheduler, and later, with V Corps as the chief of enlisted management. He returned to the United States, where he was assigned to Fort Sill, Okla., where he served as commander, Alpha Battery, 95th Adjutant General Battalion. He was next assigned to Oklahoma City, Okla., where he served with the Oklahoma City Army Recruiting Battalion as the battalion human resources officer and adjutant. His next assignment was to Fort Bliss, Texas, where he served with the United States Army Air Defense Artillery Center as the officer manager. He next deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to Balad, Iraq, where he served with the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force, Arabian Peninsula as the personnel director. Upon redeployment, he was assigned to Fort Leavenworth, Kan., where he completed Command and General Staff College. He was then assigned to Fort Sill, Okla., where he served with the 214th Fires Brigade as the brigade human resources officer, and later, as the brigade executive officer. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the professor of military science at Cameron University, Lawton, Okla.

Lieutenant Colonel Boles' professional military education includes the Army Airborne School, Adjutant General Corps Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms Services Staff School, and Army Command and General Staff College. He earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a master's degree in educational administration, curriculum, and supervision from the University of Oklahoma, Norman.

Lieutenant Colonel Boles' military awards and decorations include four Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, four Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, and various unit and service medals and ribbons. He has also earned the Army Parachutist Badge and is the recipient of the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara (Field Artillery).
