NCLR Annual Conference

In 2012, for the very first time, Las Vegas will host the NCLR Annual Conference and National Latino Family Expo from July 7 through July 10! The NCLR Annual Conference has consistently been the gathering location for Latino leaders, influencers, business leaders, elected officials, and community organizers in the country, and provides the ultimate opportunity to learn about current issues in education, health, workforce development, youth leadership, nonprofit management, policy updates, and other topics that impact not only Latinos but all American communities..

Las Vegas is home to more than half a million people, with Latinos making up approximately 37% of the population. In addition, the Latino population in Nevada has grown 81% from 2000 to 2010. Not only a world-class destination for vacations with a vibrant culinary and theatrical nightlife, Las Vegas and Nevada are also at the forefront of both state and local politics with Latinos coming out in full force to participate in both presidential and senatorial elections.

The 2012 NCLR Annual Conference, with over fifty workshops, four town halls, five key meal events including the Latinas Brunch and the NCLR Awards Gala, and its multiple networking events is poised to be our biggest Conference yet! At the same time, the NCLR is excited to bring the National Latino Family Expo to Las Vegas, a free event for everyone in the community. Expo is the ideal family fair that offers not only educational experiences for every member of the household but also offers to best and most cutting-edge games, prizes, live entertainment, product samples and more at various themed pavilions.
