tabPharmacy Information
The pharmacy accepts faxed prescriptions from the prescribing provider's office. The fax must include the patient's name, sponsor's social security number and birth-date. The prescription must be legible and faxed to 509-247-2021. Please note schedule II medications such as morphine and Percocet are not accepted. Not all medicines are available at the base pharmacy. Click here for the clinic's formulary (a list of prescriptions the base pharmacy can fill.) The pharmacy needs two duty days to process faxed prescriptions. They will only be held for five duty days.

Medicines not on the pharmacy's formulary may be found by using the TRICARE Retail Pharmacy Network (30-day supply) or by having medicine mailed to them using Express Scripts (90-day supply). Co-pays for the retail pharmacy network are $5 for generic, $12 for trade name uniform formulary and $25 for non-uniform formulary agents. The co-pays for express script are free for generic, $9 for trade name uniform formulary and $25 for non-uniform formulary agents. For more information about TRICARE prescription and medication policies click here.

Patients must provide a valid ID card and yellow card issued by the clinic for prescription pick-up. This yellow card verifies if a member has third-party insurance. To ensure confidentiality, a written letter or verbal authorization must be presented to the pharmacy by a patient representative acting on the behalf of the person representing the patient. A medical power of attorney may be utilized.

Fairchild's medical group does not have an emergency department or an urgent care clinic. All emergency services are handled by local civilian hospitals. The closest Emergency Rooms are at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Deaconess Medical Center, both are about 20 minutes away in Spokane. Urgent Care needs prior authorization from a primary care manager. Emergency care does not require a prior authorization or a referral.
