 92nd Air Refueling Wing
Since 1942, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing has been a key part of our nation's defense strategy--from a WWII repair depot, to a Strategic Air Command bomber wing during the Cold War, to an Air Mobility Command air refueling wing during Operation Iraqi Freedom and beyond. Today, the wing's aircraft and personnel are the backbone of the Air Force's tanker fleet on the West Coast.
 141st Air Refueling Wing (ANG)
Since its creation in 1924, the 141st Air Refueling Wing trained, equipped and deployed dedicated Citizen Airmen in response to national crises and state emergencies. The 141st Air Refueling Wing is a component of the Military Department of the State of Washington. The Military Department reports directly to Gov. Chris Gregoire. Military authority rests with The Adjutant General of the State of Washington, Major General Timothy Lowenberg.
 KC-135R Stratotanker
The KC-135 Stratotanker provides the core aerial refueling capability for the United States Air Force and has excelled in this role for more than 50 years. This unique asset enhances the Air Force's capability to accomplish its primary mission of global reach. It also provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and allied nation aircraft. The KC-135 is also capable of transporting litter and ambulatory patients using patient support pallets during aeromedical evacuations.
 Air Mobility Command
Air Mobility Command, activated on June 1, 1992, is a major command headquartered at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. AMC provides worldwide cargo and passenger delivery, air refueling and aeromedical evacuation. The command also transports humanitarian supplies to hurricane, flood and earthquake victims both at home and around the world. |

 336th Training Group
The 336th Training Group, located at Fairchild Air Force Base, is home to the U.S. Air Force's Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) school. The 336 TRG consists of three squadrons and one flight, with geographically separated detachments at Lackland AFB, Texas, Pensacola NAS, Fla., and Eielson AFB, Alaska. The Survival School teaches 22 different courses to approximately 20,000 students at the four locations annually. Their mission statement: To provide at risk of isolation personnel with the skills and confidence to 'Return with Honor'.
 36th Rescue Flight
The 36th Rescue Flight supports the USAF Survival School training through hands-on helicopter operations for more than 3,000 students per year. Training is conducted year-round at Fairchild and at the School's field location in the Colville National Forest. Flight operations include live rescue hoist training, Para drop demonstrations and combat rescue procedures training for students in the basic Combat Survival Course. An aircraft and crew are on stand-by 24 hours a day, 6 days a week to provide medical evacuation coverage for students and instructors alike.
 UH-1N Iroquois
The UH-1N is a light-lift utility helicopter used to support varied uses. Its primary mission includes airlift of emergency security and disaster response forces, emergency evacuation of key government officials, support for school training and testing and airlift for distinguished visitors.
 Air Education and Training Command
Air Education and Training Command, with headquarters at Randolph Air Force Base near San Antonio, Texas, was established July 1, 1993, with the realignment of Air Training Command and Air University. AETC is the first command to touch the life of nearly every Air Force member. |
