The Archer K. Blood American Center Library offers a wide range of resources, programs and services. Our mission is to provide timely, reliable and comprehensive information on the United States: literature and culture, politics and government, economics and trade, and foreign affairs and defense. Though our Library has a good general-interest collection, our resources are concentrated in five areas: American Studies, American Fiction, English as a Second Language, Computers, and Business and Management. We have a large video collection offering feature films and documentaries, as well as language audiotapes and CD-ROMs on a variety of issues. Over 80 periodicals and several newspapers are available. Search the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) at once for information on our books and resources.
Our Children’s Corner offers books for younger users, who are welcome to use the Library with their parent or guardian.
Archer K. Blood American Center Library is an essential part of the Public Affairs section of the U.S. Embassy, which promotes better understanding of American culture, history, values and institutions for the people of Bangladesh.
