The DOE Office of Sustainability Support (HS-21) has developed an Information Brief, Federal Clean Air Act Requirements for Stationary Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines (HS-21-IB-2012-27) to provide guidance for compliance with new RICE regulations using under authority of the New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) and the National Emissions Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). Both NSPS regulations are applicable to RICE that are purchased, modified, or reconstructed after the applicability date of the NSPS [July 11, 2005, for Compression Ignition (CI) RICE and June 12, 2006, for Spark Ignition (SI) RICE]. HS-21 has also developed a Technical Assistance Tool (RICE Tool) or Addressing Clean Air Act Requirements for RICE at DOE Sites. PDFs of the Information Brief and the Technical Assistance Tool ares available below. Federal Clean Air Act Requirements for Stationary Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines Information Brief
