Girls run to break the ‘box’

A new nationwide program to help develop, maintain, foster confidence of young girls kicks off at McConnell AFB Feb. 26, 2013, at the youth center. Girls on the Run a is youth development program which combines an interactive curriculum centered around running to help inspire self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls. Craft fair to showcase community interaction

The annual Holiday Craft and Shopping Fair will take place Nov. 17, 2012, in the Robert J. McConnell to join Veterans Day parade

Veterans Day, Nov. 11th, is intended to honor and thank all military personnel who served the United States. McConnell will join members of the local community as they march in the annual Veterans Day parade on Nov. 10, 2012. Social norms intervention to reduce alcohol abuse

The final campaign poster for the Alcohol Social Norms Intervention Project states seven out of 10 McConnell Airmen, 71 percent, leave parties or bars with little or no alcohol impairment (blood alcohol concentrations below .05percent.)
