112th Congress: Action On Cultural Diversity

During the 112th Congress, I have agreed to co-sponsor the following selected measures which deal with cultural diversity. This is not a comprehensive list of all the legislation I have co-sponsored related to diversity. Legislation I have co-sponsored regarding diversity:

• S.1065. A bill to clear up issues over land and water rights along the Blackfoot River.

Actions I have taken to support cultural diversity include:

• Led Idaho Delegation letter to the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Juvenile and Delinquency Prevention regarding funding for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe for tribal youth programs.

• Introduced Coeur d’Alene Tribal Chairman Chief James Allan at the Senate Indian Affairs Committee hearing on the role of the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Program in enhancing economic development in Indian Country.
