Diabetes Education Class

This one-day diabetic education class provides information related to self-management of diabetes and a healthy life-style. Topics include: Diabetes Survival Skills, Travel Tips, Diabetic Complications, Diabetic Medications, Eye Care, Foot Care, Exercise and Nutrition. The class is held from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month For more information or to enroll in a class, call 435-6707.

Ready to Quit Class

This class is for those interested in quitting tobacco use. This class is a pre-requisite to Tobacco Use Cessation classes. Classes are held at 11 a.m. the last Wednesday of every month in Winn’s Patient Education Center. For more information or to make an appointment, call (912) 435-5071.

Cholesterol Seminar

This three part seminar is available to individuals who have high cholesterol based on a lipid profile. The seminar offers tips on how to read labels and talks about different types of cholesterol. For more information or to make an appointment, call (912) 435-6633. Physician referral required.

Tiny Toes Program

The Tiny Toes Program is Winn Army Community Hospital’s exclusive series of educational classes focused on giving you useful information at the adequate time. These classes are free to our patients. Spouses and family members are welcome to attend. Register for classes at The Women’s Health Center or call 435-6633 or 1-800-652-9221 and follow the prompts to the Department of OB/GYN.

From Delivery to Parenthood

3 childbirth classes reviewing labor and delivery, post partum and baby care. Registration starts at 28 weeks.

Breastfeeding Class

Registration starting at 32 weeks. Get a head start in learning how to give your baby the best a mother can offer; mother’s milk.

Tiny Toes Together Class

This sibling class is designed for children 3 to 12 years of age. Spend some fun time learning how to be an “official big brother or sister.” For more information or to register, call 435-6633.
