Serviced Population

Our current serviced population is 2,075* and growing as a result of the 2005 Defense Base Realignment and Closure Commission (BRAC) decision. Organizations relocating to Fort Lee include the Transportation School, the Ordnance Munitions and Electronic Maintenance School, and the Ordnance Mechanical Maintenance School. Many of these organization’s employees are choosing not to relocate with their positions. This has left a large number of vacancies to be filled over the next few years.
