The fall season has arrived in full speed, and many of us take the opportunity to prepare our homes and offices by performing a thorough cleaning to get us through the winter months. Not that long ago, it was common practice to dispose of almost every cleaning supply down the drain. Today, this indiscriminate disposal of chemicals to the sanitary sewer is not acceptable or permitted.

Do you know the leading cause of death for children older than the age of two? The State Highway Administration has identified motor vehicle crashes as the culprit to these deaths. Proper restraint in vehicles can help reduce deaths and the SHA is working hard to keep parents and drivers informed of the proper methods of restraining children in passenger vehicles.

Representatives from U.S. and Israeli military medicine gathered at Fort Detrick, Md., to share information on current and future medical research at the 2012 Shoresh conference Oct. 15-17. Close to 200 attendees participated in the biannual seminar, which has been held for nearly three decades.

They are enlisted Soldiers as well as commissioned officers, covering all races, ethnic backgrounds, and religions.When it comes to domestic violence, there is no discrimination.
