Command Sergeant Major Kutac is a native of Weimar, Texas. He enlisted in the Army in June 1989. He completed Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bliss, Texas.

CSM Kutac’s duty positions and assignments include Patriot Missile crewmember, 4-43 ADA Giessen Germany; PATRIOT Launcher Squad Leader, 2-7 ADA, Fort Bliss Texas; Field Recruiter, Jackson Recruiting Battalion, Jackson Mississippi; PATRIOT Launcher Platoon Sergeant, 6-52 ADA, Ansbach Germany and 5-7 ADA, Hanau Germany; ADA Branch Assignment Manager, Human Resource Command, Alexandria Virginia; PATRIOT First Sergeant, 5-7 ADA, Hanau Germany; Garrison/Operations Sergeant Major, United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Kwajalein Marshall Islands. He is currently the Command Sergeant Major of 1-1 ADA in Okinawa, Japan.

CSM Kutac’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (4OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (4OLC), the Good Conduct Medal (7th award), the National Defense Service Medal (2nd award), the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal (2 bronze stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (#4), the Overseas Service Ribbon (#4), the Kuwait Liberation Service Medal, the Army Recruiter Gold Badge (3 sapphire stars), and the Air Force Space Badge.

CSM Kutac’s military education includes WLC, ALC, SLC, First Sergeant Course, Garrison Sergeant Majors Course, and the Space Fundamentals Course. CSM Kutac is a graduate of the Sergeants Major Academy, Class 58.

CSM Kutac’s civilian education includes a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development and Training from Webster University. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from National-Louis University, and an Associates Degree from Vincennes University.
