About Us

VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System is an integrated healthcare system that proudly serves the Veteran population throughout the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. It is our mission to care for America’s Veterans and provide them with excellent health care.

VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System consists of two clinical care facilities in Pittsburgh as well as five community based outpatient clinics.

University Drive Campus

University Drive serves as the acute care facility and has approximately 146 operating beds distributed among Medicine, Surgery, Neurology and Critical Care. A range of outpatient services and 78 secure, private psychiatric beds are located in the new Consolidation Building.

The H.J. Heinz campus has a 262-bed community living center offering outpatient services including audiology & speech pathology, dental, primary care, and pharmacy as well as a new
Ambulatory Care Center.

The Highland Drive campus currently houses administrative and research functions for VAPHS.
