Office Hours and Location

The Consular Section is located in the “La Esperilla” section of Santo Domingo, on the corner of César Nicolás Penson Street and Máximo Gómez Avenue. The U.S. Citizens Services (ACS) Unit is closed on all Dominican and U.S. holidays, as well as on Administrative Days.  The building is accessible to the disabled.  General office hours are 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday, and 7:30am - 11:30am on Friday.  Our working hours for specific services are listed below.

Passport Services:
Passport interviews are by appointment only.  Please click on the following link to make your online appointment.

Report of Birth Services:
Pick up an information and application packet at Window 26, outside the Consular building on Ave. Maximo Gomez, Monday through Thursday, 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm.

Notarial Services:
Drop off documents for notarization on Monday or Thursday, 11:00 am - 11:30 am at Window 26, outside the Consular building on Ave. Maximo Gomez.   Applicants return at 2:00 p.m. the same day and enter the Consular Section to pay the notarial fees and pick up the notarized documents.

Get general information and drop off documents pending for existing cases at Window 26, outside the Consular building on Ave. Maximo Gomez, Monday through Thursday, 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm.

Emergency Services:
Call (809) 221-2171 to speak to an American Citizen Services representative, or come to the main entry of the Consular section.
Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am. - 4:30 pm
Friday, 7:30 am  - 11:30 am.
