To give Sailors greater access to higher education, the Navy College Program (NCP) has established partnerships with colleges and universities that offer associate and bachelor degrees via distance learning. The 43 partner institutions combine credit recommendations on SMART, with college courses delivered via Internet, CD-ROM, USB drive, and paper, to complete degree requirements. The Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership (NCPDLP) program is designed to enhance mission readiness, enable Sailors to earn a college degree that awards 2-4 advancement points, and support their mobile lifestyle.
