The 2012 FAA Airport Pavement Working Group meeting was
successfully held by the Airport Pavement R&D Section (ANG-E262) from April 24
to 26 at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel. The meeting was
attended by over 70 individuals from six different countries; India, South
Korea, Japan, Canada, Netherlands and France. A wide range of topics were
covered over the 3-day meeting ranging from the R&D work being performed at the
National Airport Pavement Test Facility (NAPTF) and in France by the Directorate
General for Civil Aviation (DGAC) to the airfield pavement evaluation procedures
being performed in Japan and South Korea. The meeting was concluded with a ½ day
tour of the NAPTF located at the William J Hughes Technical Center located next
to the Atlantic City International Airport.
