Hurricane Earl preparation on Cape Cod
As Hurricane Earl heads towards the Cape and Islands Master Sergeant Patrick Ryan along with other members of the 102d Intelligence Wing lay sand bag walls to protect buildings from flooding. Hurricane Earl is expected to reach Cape Cod by late Friday.

Hurricane Earl preparation on Cape Cod
On September 2, 2010 the 102d Intelligence Wing located on Cape Cod began preparing for Hurricane Earl which is expected to reach the Cape and Islands by late Friday. Senior Master Sgt Dale Swartz and Technical Sgt. Brian Savage build a sand bag barrier used to protect buildings from water damage as heavy rains and wind from the storm are expected.

102nd Air Operations Group participates in AUSTERE CHALLENGE - 10
Captain Brendan Simison, Col. Frank Aflague and Capt. Sara Stockhaus, 102nd Air Operations Group, participated in the Joint exercise 'AUSTERE CHALLENGE -10', May 6-7. The exercise gave the 102nd AOG an opportunity to prove the effectiveness of 'distributed operations' whereby the Massachusetts Air National Guardsmen supported the 608th Air and Space Operations Center, located at Barksdale AFB, La., from Otis Air National Guard Base, Mass., a distance of more than 1,200 miles. Bottled water was distributed to the more than two million people in the Boston area left without clean drinking water during a state emergency.
