The Air National Guard Band of the West Coast is pictured here in 1948.  Throughout its history, the band has proudly performed its duties of foster patriotism and providing musical services for the military community as well as the general public.
tabOur History 
Since its inception in 1942 the Air National Guard Band of the West Coast has performed for audiences all over the world, although it primarily serves communities throughout Northern California, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. Formerly stationed at Hayward ANG Base in Hayward, CA, the band relocated to Moffett Federal Airfield in 1994, representing the129th Rescue Wing.
tabPerformances 
The Air National Guard Band of the West Coast has performed in a wide range of venues, from President Dwight D. Eisenhower's 1957 inauguration, and several good-will tours throughout Europe, to the National Guard Association Conference of 2004 in Las Vegas, where President George W. Bush and Senator John F. Kerry were key guests.

The band was the 1994 recipient of the Colonel George S. Howard Citation for Musical Excellence for Military Concert Bands, and remains the only Air National Guard band to receive this award.

The organization has also performed for fans at San Francisco Giants games as well as participated in the 2003 Pasadena Tournament of Roses parade. The Air National Guard Band of the West Coast is a highly sought after ensemble of musicians who perform at the finest venues in the West.

Air National GuardAir National Guard Bands are the active duty band's counterparts in the Air National Guard. ANG musicians are part-time guard members with full-time civilian careers. They rehearse and perform one weekend a month and perform an annual concert tour. ANG bands are a perfect opportunity for musicians who wish to serve their country on a part-time basis. Read more.
