The Air National Guard Band of the Smoky Mountains is stationed at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base near Knoxville, Tennessee. The band is the official musical ambassador for the Tennessee Air National Guard.

tabAbout the Band 
The band has performed for the Air Force Thunderbirds, the Navy Blue Angels, numerous State of Tennessee Governors Inaugural Ceremonies, as well as civilian and military performances in 21 states, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.

The ability to offer a wide variety of musical programming is a source of great pride for this premiere unit of the Tennessee Air National Guard. Concerts typically include traditional concert band pieces, military marches, patriotic selections, jazz, rock and country western selections.

Air National Guard BandsAir National Guard Bands are the active duty band's counterparts in the Air National Guard. ANG musicians are part-time guard members with full-time civilian careers. They rehearse and perform one weekend a month and perform an annual concert tour. ANG bands are a perfect opportunity for musicians who wish to serve their country on a part-time basis. Read more.
