Resident Training
Eligible Attendees
Courses at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) are available for state, local, and tribal responders from any of the following disciplines: Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), fire service, governmental administrative, hazardous materials personnel, healthcare (non-EMS), law enforcement, public health, public safety communication, public works, and other skilled support personnel that provide immediate support services during prevention, response, and recovery operations.
A limited number of courses are discipline specific and will be indicated in each course description at left.
Prerequisites
In general, the prerequisite for attending any course at the CDP includes successfully completing awareness training for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, or Explosive (CBRNE) response through AWR-160 or another Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)-approved awareness-level training program. Some courses are designed for a particular audience and will require additional prerequisites, as discussed in the course descriptions.
Verification
All eligibility requirements and prerequisites will be verified by the individual State Administrative Agency Training Point of Contact prior to an application being forwarded to the CDP.
