Financiera El Comercio, a regulated nonbank financial institution in Paraguyay, formed strategic relationships with soybean farmers and silo operators that enabled it to identify creditworthy clients, mitigate risk, control transaction costs and expand its agricultural lending portfolio by providing financing to small-scale, single-crop, soybean farmers.
