The United States Public Affairs Service promotes a better understanding of American life, institutions, economy, politics, and culture, by promoting American Studies abroad, facilitating study in the U.S., and promoting studies of American language and literature.
Students who plan to study in the United States, either at graduate or undergraduate level, should contact the Educational Advising service in our Information Resource Center, to assist in identifying appropriate college and graduate programs and learning the entrance requirements. The service also offers every quarter, educational advising sessions in the American Center auditorium, to provide general information about higher education in the U.S., how to apply for financial assistance, and student life in the U.S.
Educators whose subject matter touches on American Studies, whether they be university professors, primary or secondary school teachers, curriculum designers, textbook writers, etc., are encouraged to contact the Public Affairs Officer at PAS to discuss how we might help enrich existing programs or develop new programs.
Educators specialized in teaching English as a second language should also contact the Public Affairs Officer, to arrange to inspect a list of books available through PAS to strengthen EFL programs.
