makers in the United States have the information they need to understand
the situation in Georgia.
The Ambassador is assisted by a Deputy
Chief of Mission, who assumes the title of Charge d'Affaires ad interim
when the Ambassador is away from Georgia. Currently the mission is
headed by Ambassador Richard Norland.
