Andy Gonzalez joined the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) in the
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on 15 January 2011 as an EEO Specialist. He
is responsible for the development, implementation, and success of the Asian
American and Pacific Islander Employment Program in the VA. At ODI, he is also
involved in promotion of affirmative employment and diversity and participates
in such planning and analysis, Special Emphasis Programs (SEP), Technical
Assistance Reviews (TARS), and other ODI activities.
Prior to joining VA, Mr. Gonzalez served as an EEO Specialist with the U.S.
Marine Corps. He is a military Veteran having served with the U.S. Coast Guard
for more than 30 years. Prior to his retirement in 2008, he performed the duties
of a Military Equal Opportunity Advisor with the Departments of Defense and
Homeland Security.
