Barrow ARM Tower Camera Image of Barrow Environmental Observatory

Image Details

The Barrow ARM towercam captures one image a day at 22:24 UTC and posts the image to the web site listed above. Please credit the Barrow ARM Facility for the images.              HINT - click 'Last modified' to reverse sort.

The camera is on a 40 meter tower and oriented towards the Barrow Environmental Observatory. The field of view is to the South with the corner of the NOAA building on the left and a corner of the ARM 'visitor platform' on the right.

From this 40 meter tower, the near image provides a good idea of percent snow cover. In the far image, it becomes more oblique and is a bit more difficult to assess total snow cover.

Note that date and time printed on the images are UTC. AKST is 9 hours behind UTC.
