Mission

Marine Corps Combat Camera is organized and structured to provide commanders with photographic, video, digital, printed products and archival capabilities which directly support Marine Corps operations, enhancing decision-making processes and situational awareness. Combat Camera supports all elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force and Training Commands and Supporting Establishments with organically assigned personnel providing a full range of professional imagery capabilities.

Graphics

The primary mission of the Graphics section is to provide graphic art and illustrative support to enhance training operations and mission essential information programs within local commands. the primary mission of the reproduction section is to provide high quality volume production and reproduction of documents that are inherent to operating large commands.

Copying, duplicating or reproducing any item(s) protected by copyright law is prohibited. the only exceptions are identified under section 107 of the copyright law, fair use.

The graphics/repro section of combat camera centers produce, high quality graphic images for training and visual information for Navy and Marine forces on Okinawa. The graphics/repro section is capable of creating but not limited to:

Static display boards up to 24x36"
Special events graphics (masters only)
Posters in both color and black & white up to 24x36"
Special events graphics (masters only)
Re-creation of graphic documents
Original illustration
Web and multimedia graphics
Reproduction
Pamphlets, b/w, color, programs, and certificates
Padding & Page layout

Printing/Reproduction Capabilities and Limitations
Local reproduction service is categorized as "duplicating." Request for duplication cannot exceed production of a maximum size of 8% x 14inches, provided that no more than 5,000 impressions (one 8 1/2x14inch sheet, one side only, one color) shall be produced of any page, and that jobs consistant of multiple pages will not exceed 25,000 impressions in the aggregate.

Video

The Video Production Section's primary mission is to produce video productions for MCB, III MEF, and tenant units in support of training, operations, and information.

Photography


The primary mission of the Photography Section is to provide photographic services to MCB, III MEF, and tenant units. There are two studios available, Camp Foster, building 478 and Camp Hansen, collocated with the SNCOA, building 2729.

Promotion Boards

We take promotion pictures on a walk in basis. All photos are electronically submitted to HQMC. The Marine will receive a transmittal receipt. Hard copies are NOT provided.

Administrative Photography is provided on a walk-in basis at both Camp Foster and Camp Hansen studios. Photographs are available in 8X10, 5X7 and 3X5.
Passports and Naturalization pictures are provided for Official passports only. Customers are required to provide a DD-1056 from the administrative office for No-Fee Passports.

Customer Service Desk
The Customer Service Desk (CSD) provides centralized management for COMCAM’s Photographic Section, the Video Support (VS) Section, Graphic Arts and Reproduction, expedites work production, and provides quality control measures.The CSD is limited to accepting only those requests that meet official Marine Corps requirements. Work requests in support of real world operations will have a higher priority over other requests. All requests of a conventional nature will be immediately processed. The CSD personnel will direct any request unusual in nature or requiring a higher degree of technical expertise to the corresponding work section or the Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (SNCOIC) of COMCAM. The following steps will be taken to ensure prompt, courteous service: 

    1) The appropriate work order will be completed at the CSD and verified by the requester.

    2) CSD will assign the appropriate work priority.

    3) CSD and customer will consult with the appropriate section, if required, to discuss format,
        design, assistance, capabilities, etc.

    4) Work performed by appropriate COMCAM section.

    5) CSD notifies customer of completed work.

    6) Customer picks up and receipts for completed work.

Completed work will be available at the CSD. Completed work will not be forwarded by guard mail. The requesting unit has the responsibility to pick-up completed work within three working days for routine requests and no later than the due date for prioritized requests.

Supply and Logistics
The primary mission of the Supply and Logistics Section is to provide Supply, Fiscal, Copier Management, and AV Maintenance and Repair support to COMCAM and supported units.The Supply and Logistical Support Section is responsible for providing support and assistance in the requisitioning of such equipment for the purpose of training, to receipt for Training Devices and equipment. The Supply and Logistics Section establishes contractual repair orders through the Regional Contracting Office, and establishing a chain of custody for all VI equipment. Exercise control over the acquisition and operation of all copying machines for Marine Corps Base.

Training Devices
Training and Audio Visual Support Library

The TAVSL provides temporary loans of graphic training aids, training video tapes and compact disc training devices and audiovisual equipment to authorized users to enhance unit training. It is the goal of the TAVSL to provide our customers with the finest, state-of-the-art training support available. Please contact us for all your training needs.
