Sterling, VA is located just outside of Washington, D.C. Within driving distance of Washington D.C., Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA and even New York City, Northern Virginia is rich in culture, history, nature, and diversity.
There is never a shortage of things to do in or around Northern Virginia. The Atlantic Ocean is 3 1/2 hours east - with Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay even closer - the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Appalachian Trail are 1 1/2 hours west. There are the Smithsonian museums (most with free admission) and dozens of National Park Service historic sites, as well as other noted art galleries, reduced-price Smithsonian lectures, National events on the Mall, multiple stage theaters - from avant-garde to Shakespeare to musical theater - and movie theaters, as well as access to the visitors' galleries at Congress and the Supreme Court.

Sterling, Virginia, combines the relatively lower prices of Loudoun County homes, with the easy access on the weekends, to the rest of the Washington, DC area.
