The training and salary you get as a Soldier are only some of the ways the Army strengthens you for tomorrow. The Army also offers money for education, comprehensive health care, generous vacation time, family services and support groups, special pay for special duties and cash allowances to cover the cost of living.

Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS)

The Fort Bragg Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers Program (BOSS) supports the overall quality of life for the 29,000 plus single and unaccompanied Soldiers (including single parents) on the installation. The BOSSFort Bragg BOSS
program supports the chain of command by identifying quality of life issues and concerns by providing recommendations for improvement.

It assists single Soldiers in identifying and planning recreational and leisure activities that are offered in a safe and exciting environment. It provides an opportunity for single soldiers to participate and contribute to their respective communities and gives the individual a sense of responsibility and involvement.

The BOSS program is vital to overall mission accomplishment and serves as a unified voice for single soldiers.  Find out more about your unit and installation program so BOSS can become one of your many tools for success.

 

Educational Opportunities 

MISSION: To create and lead the Army’s premiere education organization committed to excellence,Education Logo innovation, and deployability.

Counseling's an integral part of the individual's educational endeavors. The Education Staff is committed to providing quality services and programs to active duty personnel, family members, retired military personnel, and civilian personnel. Professional guidance counselors staff three Education Centers and provide a full range of adult and continuing education counseling. Individual counseling is available during normal duty hours on a walk-in basis. Counselors are also available to visit units and provide briefings to soldiers and commanders on the education opportunities at Fort Bragg.

 

Recreation

Recreation ImageFort Bragg Recreation is a division under Fort Bragg's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation directorate. They are committed to providing top notch services and events for Fort Bragg and the surrounding community. Our facilities include Outdoor Recreation with Cleland Ice Skating Rink and Inline Skating Rink, Smith Lake Recreation Area and Riding Stables, Clay Target Center, and Equipment Checkout Center, Throckmorton Library, Leisure Travel Services, Auto Skills, Wood Shop, Frame and Design, Arts and Crafts, Special Events and our Recreation Delivery System.

 

Fitness and SportsFitness & Sports Image

Fort Bragg Fitness and Sports is under the Fort Bragg's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation directorate. They are honored in providing service members and their families with multiple types of sports and fitness centers. Some of the things they offer are fitness programs, group fitness classes, gyms, running trails and tracks and our different sports.

 

Dining and Entertainment Dining and Entertainment Image

Fort Bragg Dining and Entertainment is under the Fort Bragg's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation directorate. They are dedicated in providing our service members and their families with multiple types of dining and entertainment. Some of the things we offer are Fort Bragg Club, Green Beret Club, McKellar’s Lodge, Quick Bites, Coffee Cafes, Catering and Party Places.

Fort Bragg Lodging will make every effort to ensure that your stay is both comfortable and enjoyable. Whether you are completing your tour of duty at Fort Bragg, have just arrived, or are on vacation, we are delighted to have you visit with us. Lodging facilities are open to military personnel (all ranks/grades), their family members and guests, and retired military and their guests. Advance reservations are permitted by all ranks on leave or official duty.
