ABOUT NSC	CURRENT OPERATIONS

The NATO Shipping Centre (NSC) is the primary point of contact between NATO and the international shipping community. NSC also is an advisor to the merchant shipping regarding potential risks and possible interference with maritime operations. Read more about the NSC	Operation Active Endeavour (OAE) is NATO's maritime operation in the Mediterranean Sea and its mission is to show resolve against terrorism. Ships in the Mediterranean are invited to send information to us, through our Merchant Report form. Read more about OAE	Operation Ocean Shield (OOS) is NATO's contribution to the international efforts on combating piracy off the Horn of Africa. 	Newsletter		On a monthly basis the NATO Shipping Centre produces and distibutes a newsletter. This newsletter gives both a summary of special topics, and a reminder of the products provided by the NSC.
