Spinal Cord Injury Mission

To provide the best possible, state-of-the-art care to veterans with CI/D through a lifelong focus on physical and emotional health, maximal independence and productivity, community integration, healthy living, quality of life, and aging.

We strive to accomplish these goals through a comprehensive approach to health care, which includes acute and ongoing rehabilitation that is mindful of the changing needs and living environment of aging patients; acute, chronic, and preventive medical care; patient and family education; psychological, social, and vocational care; research; education; advocacy; and professional training. We strive for excellence and are guided by a sense of respect for patients as partners with shared goals.
