Trucker Fined for Falsifying Logbooks

Summary

James Bean, a commercial driver for Ontelaunee Transport Services, were fined $1,500 by a U.S. District Court judge in Philadelphia, PA, for making false statements in his driver’s daily logbook. Bean is among seven Ontelaunee truck drivers who pleaded guilty to falsifying the entries to conceal the fact that they were driving over the maximum number of hours allowed under FMCSA regulations. He pleaded guilty in October 2003.
