About the Program

Optometry and Ophthalmology work together in a combined clinic at Mountain Home to provide an integrated set of eye care services. The program provides several clinics to meet the vision care needs of our veterans and to maximize their visual quality of life. The Eye Clinic is located on the second floor of Building 200, Ward B-2.

Health Services Offered

The scope of health services offered by the Eye Clinic includes

  • Routine examinations, including glasses prescriptions and checking eye health for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and other conditions of the eye.
  • Low vision rehabilitation for visually impaired veterans.
  • Evaluation and treatment of eye disease, such as red eyes, trauma, glaucoma, and other conditions.
  • Eye surgery including cataracts, glaucoma, and corneal procedures.
