Legal Instruments Examiner, GS-963-05. Legal Instruments Examiners review legal documents such as tort claims, appeals, and other court documents to determine compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies. In addition, they resolve legal problems associated with sentencing, detainers, parole, and other inmate related issues.

Qualifications: Applicants can qualify with four years of education above high school or can qualify with one year of specialized experience which equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience is typically in or related to the position being filled.
