Your file is likely located with the USCIS office in Ciudad Juarez, who may be contacted via mail. The Department of State will have no additional information, and we will be unable to continue processing the case, until we receive the file from USCIS. Unfortunately, USCIS is unable to provide us with an estimated processing time. Once we have received the file from USCIS, we will contact the applicant with instructions on how to proceed with the processing of the case.

Waiver Inquiries

All pending Ciudad Juarez (CDJ) I-601 waiver inquiries should be made directly to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) CDJ, who has sole authority to adjudicate waivers of inadmissibility.  Processing time for waivers is approximately 8 months.  For an update on the status of your I-601 waiver application, you may contact USCIS. Please do not submit your inquiry until the 8-month processing time has elapsed.”
