School Advisory Committee (SAC)
The purpose of the Sigonella Middle / High School SAC is to act as a liaison between the school and the community to assure a positive school environment for the students who attend the school. The SAC advises the Principal on all matters affecting the operation of the school, including school policies, instructional programs, budget, facilities, maintenance, administrative procedures, pupil personnel services, educational resources, program evaluation, student standards of conduct, school meal programs, and other education-related matters. The SAC advises the Base Commander on improvements for dependents’ education, including matters related to administrative and logistical support and any other school matter which falls within the jurisdiction of the Base Commander. The SAC provides comments and recommendations on matters that are decided at higher levels but which impact upon the school. Such matters include DoDEA policy matters and budget plans and priorities for local schools. SAC meetings are held at 1445 the second Wednesday of each month school is in session and are open to the public. The SAC, PTSO and Booster Club have distribution boxes in the schools Student Affairs Office, for your convenience.

Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO)
The Sigonella Middle/High School Parent, Teacher, Student Organization is an active support group for Sigonella Middle/High School. It is not affiliated with the National PTA. PTSO membership dues and earned funds represent the operating budget for the organization which provides programs for SMHS students in grades 6-12. The Executive Board meets monthly on the second Thursday of each month at 1230 in the Principal's conference room. All interested individuals are welcome to attend. At least three general membership meetings are planned each year. The PTSO is actively involved in supporting academic and extracurricular efforts through sponsorship of such activities as Geography Bee, art and drama program, vocal and instrumental music programs, honor roll awards programs, student scholarship funding, and graduation and baccalaureate events. The PTSO also sponsors fund raising events such as school pictures and Scholastic book sales.
