Applicants applying for the GS-12 must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the

Experience utilizing security requirements established in legislation, regulations and various policy statements as E.O. 10450, E.O. 12968, Director of Central Intelligence Directive Number 1/14, Minimum Personnel Security Standards and Procedures Governing Eligibility for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information; Demonstrated work experience utilizing current investigative techniques and practices, and the legal limitations associated with the investigative process; Experience working with factors which might affect the suitability of applicants for employment with the Federal Government as codified in existing regulatory cites; Ability to analyze and evaluate investigative reports of a complex nature, and prepare oral and/or written summaries of the information. *There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
