U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Army Community Service welcomes you to Germany. The Relocation Readiness Program in Wiesbaden has many services to make your move a smooth one. Whether you are a newcomer to the community or on your way to your next assignment, we can assist you.

Lending Closet

Waiting for your household goods? Borrow some necessities from the lending closet for up to 60 days. Dishes, pots and pans, irons with ironing boards, car seats, high chairs, and more.

Translation Services

We have German speaking staff to assist you in translating correspondence, contacting the telephone company to hook up, cancel or change your service, discuss Wiesbaden community activities off-post, and teach you how to use public transportation.

Pick up a welcome packet with area maps, and community events and information, and a community telephone directory for USAG Hessen. Leaving Wiesbaden? Get an online information packet for your new installation at www.militaryhomefront.dod.mil/moving.

PCS Information

Want some tips and pointers on making your PCS a success? Stop by Army Community Servic and talk with the Relocation Manager. Classes & Tours

ACS offers several newcomer orientations and a German class. The Wiesbaden Newcomer Orientation tour is provided the second week of each month. Please contact the Army Community Service to sign up.

Sponsorship Training

Having a great sponsor makes moving so easy. Learn how to be a great sponsor for your unit. Monthly training or by request is offered throughout the year from 9 11 a.m. at ACS every Tuesday. Sponsor training for civilians and youth are scheduled as needed. Call to schedule a time: mil 335‑5254/5232 or civ (0611) 408‑0254/232.

Cultural College (Newcomer's Orientation Day)

Cultural College includes 3 different orientation days:

  • A day for Garrison Orientation - a day for Cultural Orientation & German Phrases - a day for Wiesbaden Walking Tour.
  • These days are mostly done during the second week of the month. Note: If it falls on a week with a Federal Holiday or Training Holiday, the three days are offered either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. If there is no holiday, newcomers have the choice between Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
  • Wiesbaden Garrison Orientation falls always on a Wednesday. It goes from 10 a.m. to Noonat the Wiesbaden Entertainment Center offering information tables, guest speakers. Child care included – each customer must coordinate their own reservations.
  • Cultural Orientation/German Phrases falls on a Monday and/or Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Hainerberg Chapel.
  • Wiesbaden Walking Tour falls on a Tuesday or Friday. It starts 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- Meeting point is Hainerberg Shopping Complex area in front of the Bookmark Store

    English as a Second Languge Classes

    ACS offers classes for foreign born spouses who need to learn or improve his/her English language skills. Classes are offered during daytime and also in the evening, twice weekly, starting with 12 sessions on Level 1-2. Follow up Levels 3 & 4 are available.
