Administrative Orders on Consent
The Department of Energy and NASA both signed Administrative Orders on Consent (AOC) with the California Environmental Protection Agency that define the process for characterization and the cleanup end-state for portions of SSFL. - Administrative Order on Consent. This is a copy of the Administrative Order on Consent that was signed on December 6, 2010 by DTSC and the Department of Energy. This legally-binding order describes the characterization and process for cleanup.

Consent Order for Corrective Action
On August 16, 2007, the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) issued a "Consent Order for Corrective Action" to The Boeing Company, the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to guide the RCRA cleanup at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory.
The Order prescribes corrective actions for soil and groundwater chemical contamination in Areas I, II, III and IV, including a timetable for completion and stipulated penalties for non-compliance. The Order is jointly signed by DTSC and the Respondents (Boeing, DOE and NASA).
