The Office of Administration (OA) in the Executive Office of the President (EOP) is now accepting applicants for the Spring 2013 Internship Program. The Deadline to apply is October 29, 2012 11:59 PM EDT.

What duties are required?
Software Engineer Interns will work with the newly created Software Automation and Technology (SWAT) Team which is revolutionizing computer usage and business processes in the Executive Office of the President, which includes but is not limited to the White House Office, the Office of Administration, and the Office of Management and Budget. Interns will have tremendous impact throughout the organization by providing expert software development and business process engineering services. The SWAT Team will lend its expertise to Executive Office of the President offices and help automate tasks, streamline business processes, and optimize data formatting for more efficient use.

Am I eligible to apply for an internship?
All OA Internship Program participants must be:

•    A US Citizen.
•    At least 18 years of age.
•    Enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree-seeking student for the semester that includes or immediately follows the internship.
•    In good academic standing.

Am I available for the Spring 2013 Internship Program?
All Interns are expected to intern full-time for the entire term of the program.

•    The Spring 2013 internship term runs from January 14 to April 12, 2013
•    The Office of Administration Internship is an unpaid program
•    Interns will be expected to work from approximately 9 AM-5 PM, Monday-Friday (Hours may vary)

How do I apply?
To apply for this position, you must submit a complete Application Package by 11:59 PM EDT on October 29, 2012, which includes:

1. Current Resume

•    Your resume must include the following:
•    No more than 6 pages
•    Beginning and ending dates for paid or non-paid work experience
•    Average number of hours worked per week
•    Name, city, state, date of diploma, and/or major field of study for all high schools, colleges, or universities attended
•    Type and year of all degrees received and/or total semester or quarterly credit hours completed

2. A complete Assessment Questionnaire

3. Additional supporting material

•    Unofficial College transcript(s)
•    Include a description (250 words max) of the software development project you are most proud of and explain your role the development
•    A maximum of two recommendations
