The Forgotten Mission
The Forgotten Mission documentary tells the story of international assistance to Belarus from 1946-47, a time of devastation, famine and shortage of resources. UNRRA (The United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration) deployed a mission of experts and technical staff to Minsk to help Belarusian authorities determine the countrys immediate needs and ensure effective distribution of supplies. The U.S. Embassy in Belarus together with the United Nations Office and World War II Museum in Minsk researched the issue, resulting in this film portraying a string of events linking Belarusians to this page of the nations history.

The Story of a Handshake
The Story of a Handshake is a short documentary produced by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Belarus for public viewing at the event commemorating the anniversary of the meeting of Soviet and American troops on the Elbe River in April 1945. The film is based on an interview with Alexander Silvashko, whose photo shaking hands with Bill Robertson of the U.S. Armys 69th Infantry Division in the town of Torgau has remained a prominent reminder of that remarkable encounter

The Ryan Cohan Quartet Jamming with Belarusian Musicians at the Goodwin Club in Minsk: March 5, 2009
The Ryan Cohan Quartet, a Chicago-based jazz band, toured Belarus from March 1-7, 2009. The quartet gave concerts to full houses at the Minsk Philharmonic Society, the Goodwin Blues Club and the Borisov Music Schools Concert Hall. The video filmed by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Belarus shows the quartet members jamming with Belarusian musicians at the Goodwin Club on March 5.

I Love Broadway! Musical Revue: February 17, 2009
Director and choreographer Michael Parks and pianist John Ferguson spent two weeks in Minsk preparing a group of students from the University of Culture to produce a Broadway musical revue. The show performed February 17, 2009 featured song and dance numbers excerpted from West Side Story, Chicago, Grease, Hairspray and Rent.

The English Language Youth Poetry Slam Grand Finale with Host Matt Mason: December 10, 2008
Poet and professor of creative writing at Nebraska State University, Matthew Mason visited Belarus for an intensive seven-day program on American Contemporary Poetry and Slam as an Art of Performance. The English Language Youth Poetry Slam Grand Finale, the first poetry slam ever in Belarus, was held on December 10, 2009 and was dedicated to Human Rights Day. Under the motto Exercise Your Right 2 Self-Expression, the slam involved over 40 poets from all over Belarus, aged 15 to 25.
